Summer 2024 Internship Information:

General dates and info for our 2024 Internship:

We are working under strict Covid protocols in adherence with our Actor’s Equity Association contract.
Rehearsals dates TBD.
Several internships work outside of rehearsal hours and will be arranged with your supervisor
Performance dates: May 3-19, 2024 at the Phoenix Theatre Cultural Centre.
All interns are involved in load-in, tech, performances, and strike.
Each intern receives $250 per week for a total of $1,500 for the Summer 2024.

INTERNSHIPS AVAILABLE for SUMMER 2024:

Costume and Wardrobe (2): assist designer in all aspects of costume construction; work as wardrobe crew during tech week and performances.
Sets (1): assist set designer and technical director in the construction of the set. Commitment: dependent upon the design, but primary commitment would be in July. Production Weeks (including load-in/strike) included.
Lights (1): Primary commitment is Production Week in the park including load-in, strike, all set-ups, rehearsals, performances, and running light board
Sound (1): Primary commitment is Production Week including load-in, strike, all set-ups, rehearsals, performances.
Marketing/Front of House (1): Duties include promotional efforts for the production including web- based advertising, poster/postcard distribution throughout Indianapolis, etc. Assist with all aspects of representing Indy Shakes in the park leading up to and during production weeks. Opportunity to work on longer term strategic development.

*All interns will stay after every performance to help with the nightly tear down of equipment.
