Jo Bennett is a professional actor, storyteller, historical interpreter, theater educator, & voice-over artist from Indianapolis, IN. They graduated with honors in 2008 from Butler University's Jordan College of the Arts with a degree in Theater and for the past 10 years they have worked in countless museums & classrooms throughout the Midwest to bring Shakespeare & children's theater to life for young audiences. They are thrilled to be joining the talented theater makers of the Indianapolis Shakespeare Company as a new company member! Bennett is a company member of the Fonseca Theater Company, the National Association of Black Storytellers, and is an alumni actor from The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. Jo was most recently seen with Indyshakes' Traveling Troupe as Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Charles/Phebe in As You Like It and as Leonata/Boracchio in Much Ado About Nothing as well as Indyshakes mainstage productions of As You Like It, Coriolanus, & Hamlet.
