Katie Norton (Grants Coordinator)

Born in Paisley, Scotland, Katie saw her first play, a pantomime of Peter Pan, when she was five.  It was love at first sight─Katie was hooked, and fortunately so was Peter!  Her favorite musical theatre line comes from her favorite musical, Hamilton: “Immigrants, we get the job done!”

Katie believes that theatre teaches us who we have been, who we are, and who we can become.  And this happens most brilliantly, most beautifully, and most joyfully through the plays of William Shakespeare.

She earned her M.A. in Renaissance Dramatic Literature and has taught literature courses, creative writing, and grant writing.  Katie has written grants for the Milwaukee Art Museum, Mount Mary College, Indiana Repertory Theatre, and Actors Theatre of Indiana.
